Acrylic Tourist / Submersible Windows

Stanley Plastics Ltd manufacture Side and Front Windows / Viewports from Transpalite SS Acrylic, exceeding the strict requirements of current ASME PVHO rules.  Third party inspections can be arranged with American Bureau of Shipping, DNV GL, RINA, Lloyds Register or Korean Register.

Tourist Submarines usually have twenty-two Side Conical Viewports and two Hemispherical Viewports.

During the manufacture of the viewports, we take material samples from the batch of castings and send them to an independent testing house for material testing.  The results are then verified to ensure they meet ASME PVHO requirements.  Each test is usually witnessed by the inspectorate authority and the results included in the ASME PVHO Certification Package.
